In essence, it can be perceived that the legal system of U.S originated from the minds of broad thinking men. The court system was developed from England, and it was based on equality as well. Special federal courts were created under article III of the United States Constitution. Federal district courts are the general trial courts of the United States Federal Court System which were established by the Congress (Friedman, 2010). The Federal Courts of Appeal were designed exclusively to hear cases on appeal from trial courts, and now deal with cases where an individual argues that a district court judge made a mistake in handling their case.The United States Supreme Court was developed to adjudicate on acts passed through the political system by congress and the president. Their task is to declare whether an act is constitutional or not. State courts were developed to hear criminal cases as most crime is a violation of state law, civil disputes of persons from the same state(Friedman, 2010). Inferior courts were created by congress in 1789 to serve below the Supreme Court within the federal judiciary.
